Introducing the ClubGG Blog: A Guide for Club and Union Management
Updated: 11 hours ago
Most poker content focuses on strategy: how to play a hand better, read an opponent, or improve your results. There is no shortage of good content covering that side of the game.
Running a Club or Union on ClubGG is different. It involves managing people, settings, games, permissions, reporting, and day-to-day operations. Until now, there has not been one place focused specifically on that side of ClubGG.
This ClubGG Blog is designed to fill that gap.

What the ClubGG Blog Covers
Everything here focuses on the operational side of ClubGG rather than poker strategy.
That includes setting up and managing a Club, establishing Club rules and schedules, assigning roles and permissions, and building a clear identity using features such as a Club's logo and Club ID.
For Clubs that are part of a Union, we will also cover Union structure, multi-Club administration, and how tools such as the Union Back Office can support the management of multiple Clubs.
Other topics will include Agent and downline management, reporting and hand histories, game and tournament setup, and the practical decisions involved in keeping a Club organized and active.

Game integrity will also be an important part of the discussion. We will explain issues such as collusion, bots, multi-accounting, and other prohibited activity from a Club management perspective, including what to look for and which ClubGG tools and policies are relevant.
This is not a poker strategy blog. It is a practical resource for people who manage Clubs, Unions, Players, and the tools that support them.
Who This Blog Is For
If you are considering opening a Club, the early articles will cover the fundamentals: terminology, roles, responsibilities, and what managing a Club actually involves.
If you already manage a Club, we will focus on the decisions that come with running it day to day, including Player and Agent management, game scheduling, permissions, reporting, dispute management, and understanding which information deserves your attention.

For Union Masters and Managers, the focus will expand to operating across multiple Clubs, coordinating Club structures and policies, managing permissions, reviewing activity, and using reporting tools effectively.
Agents will also find content relevant to their role, particularly around Player management, downline structure, permissions, and the responsibilities that differ from those of a Club Master or Union Master.
These roles often overlap. An Agent may also manage a Club, while a Club Master may operate within a larger Union. The goal is not to place readers into fixed categories, but to make it clear who each article is intended to help.
One Important Point
ClubGG is a free-to-play social poker platform and does not facilitate real-money wagering. More information about ClubGG and the platform is available on the About Us page.

This blog will develop gradually, starting with Club setup, roles, and permissions before moving into Union structure, Agent and downline management, Back Office tools, reporting, game and tournament management, game integrity, and community management.
Rather than trying to cover everything in a single article, each topic will receive its own focused explanation.
The goal is simple: clear terminology, practical guidance, and useful information for people responsible for managing Clubs and Unions on ClubGG.
