ClubGG Club Roles Explained: Master, Manager, Agent and Player
Updated: 3 days ago
A Club on ClubGG has several roles that help define who can manage the Club, support its members and participate in its poker games.
The four main Club-level roles are Club Master, Club Manager, Agent and Player. Each has a different purpose and level of access.
Club Master: The highest administrative role within an individual Club.
Club Manager: Appointed by the Club Master to help with Club administration, with permissions the Club Master can adjust.
Agent: Manages and supports a group of Players within a downline.
Player: A Club member who participates in its games.

Club Master
The Club Master is the highest-level administrative role within an individual Club. The person who creates the Club initially holds this role.
The Club Master is responsible for the overall administration of the Club. Depending on the available ClubGG features and settings, this can include managing members, Agents, games, tournaments, Club settings and reports.
The Club Master can also appoint Club Managers and adjust the permissions each Manager holds.
This allows the Club Master to share the Club's day-to-day management while deciding how much access each Manager keeps.

Club Manager
A Club Manager is appointed by the Club Master to assist with the day-to-day administration of the Club.
A Club has one Club Master and may have multiple Club Managers.
The Club Manager is the highest role a Club Master can assign. By default, a Manager starts with the same capabilities as the Club Master, except two that remain with the Club Master: requesting Union creation and disbanding the Club.
The Club Master can then edit or restrict individual permissions for each Manager. As a result, two Managers within the same Club may have different responsibilities and access depending on how their roles have been configured.
This distinction is important. A Manager starts with broad access, and the Club Master removes access where it is not needed.
Choosing the right permissions for different Managers becomes increasingly important as a Club grows.
Agent
An Agent is responsible for managing and supporting Players within their assigned downline.
Depending on the Club's structure, Agents may have Players assigned beneath them, and some structures can also include Super Agents, who manage both Agents and Players.
The easiest way to distinguish an Agent from a Club Manager is by the focus of the role.
A Club Manager assists with the administration of the Club based on permissions assigned by the Club Master. An Agent primarily manages and supports the Players within their downline. A member holds one role at a time, so the same person is not a Club Manager and an Agent at once.

Player
A Player is a member of the Club who participates in its games and tournaments. Player is the default role for Club members.
When a Player applies to join a Club, their membership application can be reviewed by the Club Master or an authorized Club Manager.
Players may be associated with an Agent or another downline structure depending on how the Club is organized. Not every Player necessarily has the same relationship with an Agent, so understanding where a Player sits within the Club's structure can help clarify who manages or supports that account.

How the Four Club Roles Fit Together
At a basic level, the structure is straightforward.
The Club Master holds the highest Club-level administrative role.
Club Managers assist with administration based on the permissions assigned to them.
Agents manage and support Players within their downlines.
Players participate in the Club's games and tournaments.
Not every Club needs to use every available role. Every Club has a Club Master, while Club Managers and Agent structures can be added depending on how the Club is organized.
If a Club becomes affiliated with a Union, an additional layer of administration is introduced.
A Union Master manages the Union and can assign Union Managers to assist with Union-level responsibilities and permissions. Union tools can provide broader visibility and management across affiliated Clubs, including Club structures, members, Agents, games, access and reporting.
These are Union-level roles and do not replace the Club-level roles described above.
The simplest way to understand a Club's structure is to start with the Club Master and then look at which administrative permissions, Agent structures and Player relationships have been established beneath that role.
